Laughter doeth good like a medicine
So saith the Good Book
Tis true we've finally learned
So saith the scientists and the doctors.
But do they know the TRUTH?
Because tis true that we can say
that the man served a lot of good medicine in his days.
Many burdens were lifted for a moment
by the laughter that he spread.
But did he know the TRUTH?
Many loved him because he laughed and loved
His heart was giving is easy to see
The gift of mirth he gave so freely
But did he know the TRUTH?
Many good deed he did
Many he helped
Time and again
Of himself he gave
But did he know THE TRUTH?
His days now done
His last jest told
Those who love him now laugh and weep
In tribute to memory
But did he know THE TRUTH?
To rest is he laid
But did he know THE TRUTH?
For now before THE TRUTH Himself he stands
If we now could know
Would we laugh or would we weep?
John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
